Outside the winter season

Buller doesn't close when the snow goes. The bike park runs through the warmer months — over 120km of cross-country trails, including the Australian Alpine Epic, plus lift-served downhill — and the same network carries walkers and trail runners out to the summit, Craigs Hut and the Delatite River. The road climb is one of Victoria's classics. In the village there's a scenic chairlift, the National Alpine Museum, tennis and a spa. It is cool, quiet, and a good deal cheaper than winter.

The lodge is unmanaged outside winter, so summer stays are for members. Guests come by arrangement with the member booking them, who stays responsible for the lodge being left as they found it. Summer dates and rates are confirmed each year — check with the secretary before planning around them.
